Hey there, Hollowers!

It has only been 10 DAYS since we announced our favorite furry whip-wielder & her Kickstarter you’ve all been wildly supporting!!! We’re awestruck by the love and support we’ve received so far and as a thank you to you all, we’re holding a community art contest for Mina the Hollower! Winners will be granted some Kickstarter Reward Tier prizes so if you want to know more, keep reading!!!!

Contest Prompt

The prompt of the contest is "Mina the Hollower",  so anything concerning the game is on target! 

If you are unfamiliar with Mina the Hollower, you can learn all about Mina, her quest, and the spooky world she lives in on our:

• Press Kit(This contains a bunch of illustrations and sprites!)

• Kickstarter

• Game Page 

To help get the creative juices flowing, here are some prompts:

• What death defying scenarios would Mina get herself into while out on an adventure? What about in her down time, while kicking back in her Underlab? 

• What might life have been like for Mina while she was a trainee back at the Hollowers Guild?

• What would Mina look like facing off against a gaggle of Goopers or a swarm of Brittle Beaks?

• Thorne is a mysterious presence and a shadow over Mina's attempts to keep the spark generators running. How would you visually depict their dynamic? 

• When he’s not conducting civic affairs on Tenebrous Isle, how does Baron Lionel spend his time off? (Even Island overseers get PTO!)

Have ideas for your own original character that you think would fit right in on Tenebrous Isle or adventuring alongside Mina? Feel free to work them into your submission too!

The sky is the limit and we want to see it!

Your art entry can be a drawing, painting, bead art, cosplay, culinary art, a video, a song, spoken poetry, or even stop motion animation! Whatever your artistic little mind can come up with. We are ready for it!

HOW TO ENTER

Once you have finished your masterpiece, send an email to [email protected] with the following information:

• Your full name

• Birthdate

• Your work of art (feel free to give it title!)

If you are 16 & under, please fill out this COPPA Parental Consent Form along with your entry!

Note: If you do not fill out this form, your entry will be considered invalid.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• You must submit an entry to be considered! You can submit as many entries as you’d like!

• Art must be related to Mina the Hollower!

• If you are 16 years old & under, please fill out this COPPA Parental Consent Form along with your entry!

• You can use any medium (as long as you can submit a photo of it digitally)! Your art entry can be a drawing, painting, bead art, cosplay, culinary art, video, or even stop motion animation - the sky is the limit!

• Must be family-friendly content!

• Must be an original work of art and if you’ve been making fan-art up until now, feel free to use that as your entry!

• All entrants must be a legal resident of one of the regions listed in our "Participating Regions" section. For more information, please peruse the "Participating Regions" section at the bottom of this page.

JUDGING CRITERIA

1. Does the submitted artwork fit the theme?

2. Is it creative?

3. Is it original and interesting?

4. Is there overall quality of the medium being used?

5. Does the work stand on its own?

6. The composition and design of the work are also judging criteria.

The 3 winners will be selected by the Yacht Club Games crew! Winning entries will be shared on social media pages (Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram) as well as our website!
