THE DIG IS NIGH! Shovel Knight Dig releases in a little over a week! After 4 years of development, it brings tears of joy to our eyes to know that our ambitious project is finally releasing on September 23rd on Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Apple Arcade.

We just got back from PAX West 2022, where we spread the word about Shovel Knight Dig. Players got to try their hand at digging down, down, down, and we finally had a chance to explain, in person, why Shovel Knight Dig is such a big deal. It was a blast to get back on the road. We had so much fun that we wanted to create a similar experience, but online!

We’ll be covering: 

  • Gameplay: Each trip down the well is different every time you play! Shovel Knight Dig is packed with thousands of pixel-perfect level chunks, which are procedurally stitched together to create infinite combinations.

  • Upgrades / Armor:  In Shovel Knight Dig, you’ll augment yourself by partaking in peculiar cuisine from the Gastronomole, studying Shovel Blade techniques from Master Argus, or taking your chances with Tom Bola! Back up at camp, spend your hard-earned loot to unlock new relics, armors, items and accessories. 

  • Story: Shovel Knight Dig features our signature storytelling, humor, and maybe some familiar faces. On-stream, we’ll pull back the curtain and answer any of your curious questions about Drill Knight and his dastardly digging crew! 

We’ll only be showing off the first two levels of the game so don’t worry about spoilers. We look forward to unearthing a bunch of cool stuff on-stream!
